This website and the Daywia Android app are operated by Daywia.
Trade name: Daywia
Legal name of operator: Kodavatikanti Niranjan (individual merchant)
Registered / operating address: 1/101 Papireddypalle, Cuddapah, Andhra Pradesh, India 516503
Support: support@daywia.com · +91 91107 53692
These Terms apply to the Daywia app, daywia.com (including share previews and policy pages) and the services behind them (together “Daywia”, “we”, “us”). Daywia is a trade name of Kodavatikanti Niranjan, an individual in India. By creating an account or using Daywia you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Advertising policy, Shop & seller policy and Child safety standards.
Some features are switched on gradually or only for eligible accounts, so your app may not show everything described here. When we add paid or payout features, we update these Terms first.
1. Who can use Daywia
- You must be at least 13. We ask for your date of birth when you set up your profile; it can't be changed later, so enter it correctly. Accounts of people under 13 can't be used and are deleted.
- If you are 13–17, you may use Daywia only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms for you, and you use teen mode (§1A).
- Features marked 18+ in these Terms (Credits, tips, subscriptions, Boost, business accounts and Shop, the Creator Program, collabs, withdrawals and cash rewards) are only for users aged 18 and over.
- If we learn or reasonably believe an account belongs to someone under 13, or a minor gave a false date of birth, we will close or restrict it and delete data we don't need, except records the law requires us to keep.
- Give accurate details (email, username, mobile number, date of birth) and keep them up to date.
- Don't create accounts to get around a ban, to impersonate anyone, or to manipulate Rewards, rankings, creator earnings, ads, collabs or reviews.
1A. Teen mode (ages 13–17)
- You can: post Frames, Drifts and Parallels, follow people, comment, react, and chat, call and join groups with people you follow and who follow you back.
- Who sees your posts: new posts are Public by default, like everyone's; you can pick a smaller audience for any post, or turn on Lock profile so only mutual follows see them. Anyone can find your profile in search, suggestions and @mentions and follow you. Only people you follow who also follow you back can message you, call you, comment on or react to your posts, notify you with an @mention, or add or invite you to a group. If either of you unfollows, new messages and calls stop. You can't be found by your phone number, and your city is never shown publicly.
- Not available until 18: buying Credits, tips, subscriptions, Boost ads, business accounts and Shop, the Creator Program, collabs, withdrawals and cash rewards (Achievement Points still count).
- Ads you see are never personalised — they're chosen only by state and district — and ads for adult-only products aren't allowed on Daywia at all.
- Everything unlocks automatically on your 18th birthday.
A parent or guardian can withdraw consent at any time by emailing support@daywia.com; we will then close the account. Before the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules take effect, we will add a way for parents to verify their consent.
2. What Daywia is
Daywia is free to join. Depending on your app version and eligibility, you can:
- Post Frames (photos), Drifts (short videos), long videos and Parallels (moments captured together with friends). Posts taken with the Daywia camera (and all Parallels) are Captured; photos and videos picked from your gallery (even ones shot earlier with your phone's camera app) show no label, and so does a Frame that mixes the two. Gallery posts don't earn Stars, Rewards or creator ad revenue and are shown less in Discover, Explore and Drifts (§§9, 10)
- Use Sounds — the original audio of other people's public camera Drifts — on your own Drifts and Frames, and let others use yours (§4)
- Share Drops — photo stories that are deleted 24 hours after posting (§4)
- Browse Contacts and Public feeds, Explore, Search, hashtags, Highlights and Saved
- Send direct messages, message requests, group messages, voice messages and view-once photos and videos, and reply to posts in a message
- Pin, archive and (for businesses) label chats; keep drafts and starred messages on your phone
- Make voice and video calls, 1:1 or in a group (§11A)
- Set your city and state and choose who sees it (Public / Contacts / Private)
- Find people you know with optional contact matching
- Run a business account with a Shop of products (§8)
- Join the Creator Program and earn from ads, tips, subscriptions and collabs (§§7, 9)
- Buy Daywia Credits through Google Play (§5)
- Promote posts, products or your shop with Boost (§6)
- Take part in optional Rewards (§10)
We may change, pause or end features, giving reasonable notice where we can.
3. Your account
You're responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your password safe. Tell us at support@daywia.com if you think someone else has access. We may suspend accounts that look compromised or put others at risk.
4. Your content
- You own what you post (photos, videos, captions, comments, messages, products, profile details).
- You give Daywia a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, show, copy, adapt (for example thumbnails, video formats, watermarks and previews) and distribute your content, only to run, secure, promote and improve Daywia. This includes showing your post as an ad if you or a collab partner boosts it (§§6, 9), and letting other people add a sound you share to their own posts.
- You confirm you have the rights to everything you post and that it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights.
- Content made with others (for example Parallels) may stay on their accounts after you delete your copy.
- Sounds. When you post a public Drift recorded with the Daywia camera, its audio becomes an Original sound with your name on it, and other people can add it to their own Drifts and Frames. This also applies to public camera Drifts posted before Sounds launched. You can stop others using any of your sounds with Let others use this sound on its sound page; posts already made with it keep it. Sounds from teens and locked profiles are never offered to others, and gallery uploads and Followers or Only me Drifts never become sounds. If you delete or hide the Drift, nobody new can use its sound. Only record audio you have the rights to — music from films, labels or other artists usually needs their permission.
- Drops and Re-Drops. A Drop you share from the Friends tab is seen only by friends in your contacts; from Discover it is public and can be shown to people who don't follow you. You can add a Frame, Drift or Parallel to your Drop as a card that opens the post (Re-Drop). Other people can re-drop only your public posts, and you can stop that with Allow Re-Drops in Settings → Account. Posts of teens and locked profiles are never re-dropped. A Re-Drop disappears when the post is deleted or no longer visible, and deleting a Drop never deletes the post. An Everyone Drop can be shared as a daywia.com/drop/… link; apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, X and Telegram then show your name, the photo and how long the Drop has left. Friends Drops never get a public preview.
- No screenshots of teens' and locked profiles' content. When you open a profile, post, Drift, Drop or video from someone aged 13–17, or from a locked profile, the app blocks screenshots and screen recording, and there's no Save to phone. Like view-once, this can't stop someone photographing the screen with another device.
- "With" tags. You can tag who was there in a Frame or Drift. People who follow you back are tagged at once; anyone else is asked "Were you there?" and is only shown on the post if they say yes. Anyone tagged can remove themselves at any time. Accepted tags appear on the post and in Moments together on both profiles. Teens can be tagged only by people they follow each other with.
- Subscriber-only posts are seen only by you and your active subscribers, and follow the same rules as every other post.
- You can edit a message, comment or post caption once, within 15 minutes of sending it. People may already have seen the original, and edited items are marked as edited.
- View-once photos and videos open once for each person. In a 1:1 chat the file is deleted from our servers after it's opened; in a group it stays until you delete it. The app blocks screenshots of view-once media, but it can't stop someone photographing their screen with another device, so only send what you'd be comfortable with being kept.
- End-to-end encrypted chats: text messages in 1:1 chats between two adults, and in group chats where every member is an adult, are encrypted on your phones with the Signal protocol, so Daywia can't read them. Photos, videos and voice messages in these chats are encrypted on your phone before they're uploaded (view-once photos and videos aren't). Chats with anyone under 18 aren't end-to-end encrypted. The readable copy is kept only on your phone, so reinstalling Daywia or moving to a new phone loses that history unless you turn on encrypted chat backup (Settings → Privacy): it's locked with a password only you know, Daywia can't read it, and we can't reset the password. If you report an encrypted message, your phone shares that one message's text with our safety team.
5. Daywia Credits (your Credits wallet) — 18+
- What they are. Credits are a closed-loop in-app credit that works only inside Daywia — for tips, creator subscriptions, Boost ads, shop plans and collabs. Your Credits balance in Settings is not a bank account, e-wallet or payment instrument.
- Buying. Credits are sold only in fixed packs through Google Play (100, 250, 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000 or 10,000 Credits), at the price Google Play shows. Prices in India include GST.
- Not money. Credits can't be withdrawn, exchanged for cash, sent or gifted to another account, or used outside Daywia. They earn no interest. Credits can't be used to buy products from shops.
- Promotional Credits. Credits Daywia gives you for free can be used for Boost and plans but never become creator earnings. Only Credits bought through Google Play can pay creators.
- Refunds. Daywia doesn't refund Credits except where the law requires or we made a mistake. If Google Play refunds or reverses a pack, the same number of Credits is removed; any already spent are shown as Credits owed, and tips, subscriptions and new ads pause until that's covered. See Refunds.
- Closing an account. Unused Credits are lost when an account is deleted or closed for breaking these Terms. If we ever stop offering Credits, we'll give reasonable notice and time to use them.
6. Boost and Daywia Ads — 18+ to advertise
- Daywia shows two kinds of ads: its own ads — posts, products and shops that people pay to promote with Credits (“Boost”) — and, for adults only, Google AdMob ads. Both are labelled “Ad” or “Sponsored”. This section and the review rules below cover Boost ads; AdMob ads are chosen and reviewed by Google under its own policies, and you can hide or report them with the AdChoices icon.
- Ad-free hour (optional). Adults can choose to watch one short video ad in Rewards to get 1 hour with no ads on that phone (up to 6 a day). It's always optional and can be skipped; skipping just means no ad-free hour. Watching ads never earns Stars, Credits or money.
- You choose a goal, a budget and daily spend in Credits, the length of the campaign and an audience by state and district. The Credits are held when you submit.
- Every ad is reviewed by a person before it runs. We can reject or stop any ad that breaks the Advertising policy. If an ad isn't reviewed within 7 days, it's cancelled and your Credits are released.
- You pay only for qualified views (at least 60% of the ad on screen for 1.5 seconds, or 2 seconds of a Drift, once per person per day). Views we detect as invalid (bots, new accounts, bursts, blocked users) are never charged.
- Credits not spent when a campaign is rejected, cancelled, stopped or ends go back to your balance. Credits spent on delivered views aren't refundable.
- Estimates of views and results are approximate and not guaranteed. Taps on an ad (including on its photo or video) are counted as clicks in your results; you're still charged only for qualified views.
- Ads in long videos. Long videos posted by adults always carry ads — creators can't switch them off — and creators share in that revenue as set out in §9. Long videos by teens never carry ads, and teens never see video ads.
- Ads are labelled “Sponsored” or “Paid partnership”. Viewers can hide or report ads; reported ads can go back to review.
- You're responsible for your ad and for any claims in it, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the ASCI Code.
7. Tips and creator subscriptions — 18+
- Tips (10, 25, 50, 100 or 500 Credits) can be sent only on posts where the creator allowed tips. A tip is a thank-you: it doesn't buy or unlock anything and can't be undone.
- Subscriptions give access to a creator's subscriber-only posts for 30 days at the price in Credits the creator sets. They renew automatically every 30 days from your Credits until you cancel. Cancel any time from the creator's profile or Settings: you keep access until the end of the paid period, and nothing is refunded. If a renewal fails because you don't have enough Credits, we retry for 3 days and then end the subscription. If the creator raises the price, your subscription stops renewing and you can choose to subscribe again.
- You pay in Credits. Daywia (not you) pays the creator from its own revenue, as set out in §9.
- We may reverse a tip or subscription linked to fraud, abuse, a payment reversal or a breach of these Terms, and remove the related access and earnings.
8. Business accounts, Shop and products — 18+
- Anyone aged 18 or over can switch to a business account. Business details you add (address, hours, phone, WhatsApp, map link) are public.
- Business accounts can list products in their Shop. The Free plan allows 5 products. Paid plans renew every 30 days from your Credits, at the price shown in the app (currently, including 18% GST): Starter 117 Credits (30 products, 3 featured, 7-day insights), Growth 294 Credits (100 products, 10 featured, 30-day insights) and Pro 589 Credits (300 products, 25 featured, 90-day insights), all with quick replies and an away message.
- Changing plan. Moving to a bigger plan starts at once: you pay the new price minus credit for the whole unused days of your current period, and the app shows the exact amount before you confirm — you're never charged more than that. Moving to a smaller plan or Free starts at your next renewal; until then you keep your current plan. If a renewal fails, we retry for 3 days; after that, or when you move to a smaller plan, products over the new limit are hidden, not deleted.
- New products and major edits are reviewed before they go live. We may reject or remove products that break the Shop & seller policy.
- Daywia is not the seller. Buyers tap “Ask seller” and agree the price, payment, delivery and returns directly with the business in chat. Daywia doesn't take payment for products, doesn't deliver them and isn't a party to the sale. The seller is responsible for the product, its description and price, taxes, delivery, returns and following the law — including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Legal Metrology rules.
- Buyers: check the seller and the product before paying. Report sellers who mislead you; we can remove products and suspend sellers, but we can't refund payments made outside Daywia.
- Businesses can tag up to 5 of their own live products on their posts and promote products or their shop with Boost (§6).
9. Creator Program, collabs, earnings and withdrawals — 18+
- Joining. Approval and continued eligibility follow the rules in the app. Repeated violations can limit or remove creator status.
- Ad revenue share. From October 2026 views, 50% of Daywia's net ad revenue each month (Credits bought through Google Play and spent on qualified ad views, after Google's fee and GST) goes into a creator pool. Google AdMob revenue isn't part of the pool. The pool is split by each eligible creator's share of qualified views that month, adjusted for engagement quality. Self-views, bots and farmed views don't count, and you don't earn from views of your own ads. Only Captured posts count: views and engagement on gallery posts (anything picked from your gallery, including Frames that mix in a gallery photo) don't go toward your pool share or creator eligibility. Dashboard figures are estimates until the month is finalised on the 1st of the next month. Earlier months use the view-based estimate that was shown in the app.
- Tips and subscriptions. For every Credit you receive as a tip or subscription, Daywia pays you a fixed amount from its own revenue — currently ₹0.50 per Credit, shown in the app. This is a revenue share paid by Daywia, not the fan's money. We announce rate changes in the app before they apply.
- Collabs with shops. Businesses can post collab offers or invite you. A paid collab offers 50–100,000 Credits (plus an optional barter item). When a deal is accepted, the business's purchased Credits are held. After you submit a post made for the collab, the business approves it or reports a problem; if it does nothing for 72 hours, the post is approved automatically. On approval you earn 90% of the Credits' creator value (currently ₹0.45 per Credit) and Daywia keeps 10%. Either side can cancel before submission and the held Credits go back to the business. If there's a dispute, Daywia reviews it and decides to pay or refund. Collab posts must show the “Paid partnership” label, and you must not remove it or delete the post to avoid it.
- Identity check (KYC). Before withdrawing you must submit your own identity documents (a photo of your PAN card and a selfie) and a bank account in your name. Daywia never asks for your Aadhaar.
- Withdrawals. Withdrawals need approved KYC, a minimum amount shown in the app and an available balance, and are reviewed before payment. We may delay, reject or reverse payouts for suspected fraud, policy breaches, wrong bank details or legal holds.
- Tax. Earnings are not a salary or guaranteed income. You're responsible for your income tax and any GST. Daywia deducts tax at source (TDS) where Indian law requires and shares the details.
10. Rewards (promotional)
Optional Rewards (monthly Achievement Points, leaderboards and time-limited Money Challenges) count only posts labelled Captured (taken with the Daywia camera); gallery posts (anything picked from your gallery, including Frames that mix in a gallery photo) don't count toward Stars, achievements, weekly quests, leaderboards or Money Challenges. Achievement Points are shown as Stars in the app. Cash prizes and payouts are 18+; teens can still earn Achievement Points. Rewards are promotional, depend on eligibility, checks and anti-abuse rules, and may change or end at any time. There's no guarantee of winnings or income. People who finish on the same rank share that rank's prize equally. Claiming a payout needs bank details (name, account number, IFSC) and a minimum amount shown in the app; Rewards claims don't need Creator KYC. Invites earn Stars only when the friend joins on their own phone, adds their mobile number, and within 30 days uses Daywia on 3 different days and posts at least one Captured post. Invites from the same phone as yours, or from a phone another Daywia account uses, never count. Gaming Rewards leads to forfeiture and account action.
11. Parallels
A Parallel is an invite-based moment captured together. Everyone invited must accept before capture starts. Parallels that aren't completed in time expire and their temporary media is deleted. A completed Parallel publishes a post for each person who took part; shared media stays until the last of those posts is deleted.
11A. Calls
You can make voice and video calls to people you can message. A 1:1 call needs you to be mutual contacts or to follow each other (if either of you is under 18, you must follow each other); group calls are for members of the group, up to 6 people on video or 12 on voice. Calls connect directly between phones where possible, or through an encrypted relay when the network needs one. Daywia doesn't record calls. Calls depend on your network and aren't a replacement for a phone line — you can't call emergency services through Daywia.
12. What's not allowed
Don't use Daywia to:
- Post sexual content, nudity or sexual services — including in subscriber-only posts
- Post or share anything that sexualises or exploits children (zero tolerance — see Child safety)
- Harass, bully, threaten, dox or post hate speech
- Run scams, phishing, spam, fake giveaways or pyramid schemes
- Sell or promote illegal or restricted goods (see the Shop & seller policy), betting, real-money gaming, alcohol, tobacco or crypto schemes
- Copy other people's work or use trademarks you don't own, including music or audio you don't have the rights to in a Drift or sound
- Fake engagement, views, reviews or collab results, or tip or subscribe between your own or coordinated accounts
- Ask people to pay outside Daywia for subscriber-only content
- Submit false KYC documents or bank details
- Break security, scrape Daywia, or bypass limits
- Impersonate others or claim to be linked to Daywia when you aren't
- Pass off gallery or someone else's media as Captured, or tamper with the Captured label
- Record or share someone's call, voice message or view-once media without their permission
We may remove content, limit reach, suspend or close accounts, cancel ads and plans, and withhold earnings linked to the breach. We report serious crimes to the authorities.
13. Safety tools
Report posts, Drops, profiles, messages, products, sounds and ads from their menus; block users; control who can message you, find you and see your location in Privacy settings; lock your profile so your posts are seen only by people you follow each other with; delete your account in Settings → Account. Complaints: Grievance redressal.
14. Daywia's rights
The Daywia name, logo, app and design belong to us. Don't copy them or remove watermarks from shared media. To report content that infringes your copyright or trademark, use Report → Copyright on the post or sound, or email support@daywia.com with the subject IP notice, your contact details, the work, where it appears on Daywia and a good-faith statement. We may remove it and tell the poster. When we take down a sound, nobody can add it to new posts, and we may also remove posts already made with it.
15. Our role
Daywia is an intermediary that hosts content posted by users. We review every ad and product before it goes live, but not every post. We remove or restrict content that breaks these Terms or the law, including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. We may mark a post 18+ only so people under 18 don't see it. When a post is taken down for child safety, the author can't delete or change it while the case is open, and we keep a copy as evidence for the authorities. Users are responsible for what they post, sell and say.
16. Payments summary
Core Daywia is free. The only purchases are Credit packs, made through Google Play under Google's terms; Daywia never sees your card, UPI or bank details for purchases. Everything else (tips, subscriptions, Boost, shop plans, collabs) is paid with Credits. Payment complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month (see Grievance). Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
17. Other services we use
Daywia uses providers for hosting and database, media storage and delivery, email, push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics), ads for adults (Google AdMob), video streaming, weather and place lookup, and Google Play Billing. We aren't responsible for third-party websites you open from posts, profiles, products or ads.
18. Ending your use
You can stop using Daywia and delete your account any time (Account deletion). We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, put others at risk, or belong to someone under 13. When an account is closed for cause, running ads and plans may be cancelled and earnings linked to the breach withheld. Parts of these Terms that should survive (content licence for existing shares, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue after closure.
19. Disclaimers and liability
Daywia is provided “as is” and “as available”, as far as the law allows. We don't endorse user content, products or ads. Estimates for Rewards, earnings and ads are for information only. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or data, or for products bought from shops. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that can't be waived under Indian law.
20. Changes
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change, and we'll tell you in the app about important changes. If you keep using Daywia after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply.
21. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction, without affecting your consumer rights. Please contact Grievance redressal first so we can try to fix things.
